6 Questions That Will Double Your SalesIs it a bold claim to say “6 questions that will double your sales?”  Yes. Absolutely that is a bold claim. Read on doubters and dreamers!

No one is a natural born salesperson. We learn to sell. It’s a skill just like tying your shoes. But too many people are willing to go through weeks and years being weak in their sales skills. You wouldn’t walk through life with untied shoes. So please do yourself a favor and stop trying to do business with weak sales skills.

This might sting. Too often I talk to someone that tells me they have a marketing problem, or they just don’t know how to structure their offer, or it’s a hiring problem, or … (Insert any excuse you can think of). But when we get into it, they are just not closing deals. All other problems would affect your ability to increase the VOLUME of sales. But if you are simply not closing, your problem is sales skills.

And there are two points in your business journey where you will create a massive increase in sales. The first is when YOU LEARN HOW TO SELL. The second is when you hire a sales team. So YES, I firmly believe the bold claim. It’s time to improve your sales with 6 questions that will double your sales

This week, my video is about using powerful questions to help you close more deals. I promise these questions work!  Check out the video and start practicing if you are serious about doubling your sales.

  • If it ends up that we are a fit for each other, how soon would you be interested in getting started on this project? This question helps the client build their own timeline and takes away the excuse that now isn’t the right time.
  • What is that costing you? People look at purchasing backwards. They look at how much the solution costs instead of looking at what the problem costs. You need them to understand how much they are losing each month by having an unsolved problem.
  • Assigning value to the solution– If we could solve x, what would that be worth to you? This question connects to the same issue as #2. To close a sale, it’s got to be win for the client. And asking them this question will help them to start focusing in on all of the benefits of change.
  • How committed are you to your goal? If the prospective client isn’t committed to their goal, they will struggle to commit to your product/program/service.
  • And are you committed to making the changes/sacrifices it will take to get you there? Everyone likes the idea of change. But this question helps the prospect to really evaluate their commitment to doing the work!
  • So what do you think?  Does it sound like this is the right fit for you? When you ask for the sale this way, it separates the service from the price. And they will tell you if the service is right for them and then tell you if the price is right. It might sound like this, “This sounds like exactly what I need, but I’m not sure I can afford it.”  Or, “Actually, I think I need something a little bit different.”
