If you want to create the life you love- and live it- and turn your passion into profits, these are 5 steps you can’t live without! Because let’s be honest, life is too short to be filled with stress and a job you hate.
My 6 year old said to me in the car the other day, “Mom why do grownups get everything they want! It makes me so mad!” Followed by a hulk like growl and then a lot of laughing on my part.
My first thought was, “I remember those days when I thought life could be whatever I wanted it to be.” And then I shook myself and course corrected. The truth is my life is like 90% exactly what I want it to be. I could do without the socks my kids leave strewn all over the house. And I could do with more time at the lake. But my life is pretty awesome. And it’s been intentionally built! And you too can create a life you love!
I sat down with life coach and success expert Georgia Woodbine and had a discussion about the steps to follow to create the life you love.
- Slow down and find your purpose. It might take you a minute. It will definitely take some deep questions. But you have a purpose that is more than just existing. Take the time to find it!
- Utilize the gift of choice. If you want to create the life you love, you have to stop buying the lie that you are compelled to do things. You choose what you do every single day. Don’t like where it’s taking you? Chose something different. It will take courage. Be brave!
- Change your mindset. If you are dissatisfied with your life, change your mindset and you will be amazed how fast everything starts to move for you. Check out the video to hear Georgia’s insights into the two types of mindset we develop.
- Practice speaking positive affirmations. Experts estimate that the average person has between 60,000-80,000 thoughts a day! And 80% of those are estimated to be negative. You better believe that impacts your ability to create the life you love!
- This is Amy’s bonus tip that you won’t find in the video. Practice visualization. When I was starting on my journey to create the life I love, I struggled to even know what it would look like. All I could see was what I new and had experienced. And I wanted to create something I’d never seen before. So I visualized my life every morning and night, and I may have sometimes daydreamed during my lunch break too! It worked! The life I live today was visualized long before it existed!
