Do you want to make 100k a year fast in your business? If you are new and emerging in business, then this blog post is for you. Here’s a secret: it isn’t as hard as you think. And in this post, I’m going to share with you my 4 hacks to get you there faster.
If you are an entrepreneur, small business owner, network marketer, coach, expert, author, speaker, service provider or… wait have I mentioned every business under the sun yet? Basically anyone reading this blog post can make 100K a year fast if they have the right formula in place.
We did 110K in sales our first year in business. It was a wild ride, we were basically building the airplane while it was in the air. And while I worked hard, I wouldn’t say getting the sales was hard.
Before I jump into my 4 steps, let me be really clear. If you are not skilled in closing sales yet, you’ll have to learn that skill first. Knowing how to close the deal is critical for this formula to work.
- Identify your high end product or service: If you want to learn how to make 100K a year fast, you’ve got to get the old funnel of the 2010’s out of your head. The whole idea of free/low cost to mid price to high end worked when leads were cheap and email marketing still had a 30-40% open rates. But those days are gone. And the fastest way to get to 100K is to sell something high end first. And then downsell to a lower price point if they say no. (Watch this week’s youtube video if you want more information as to why this works)
- Identify your high end client– If I’ve effectively convinced you that having a high end offer is a critical component of how to make 100K a year fast, then listen up. You can’t sell a $5K product to a 5 buck client. They just don’t have the budget or resources. Years ago I was helping someone who sold educational curriculum to the schools. She was trying to get teachers to buy the product. But while teachers were low hanging fruit in marketing, they could only spend at the low price point (under $20). That was going to take FOREVER to hit 100K. Instead we started looking at school districts and at prices if she would sell to school districts. When she understood who she needed to sell to, she was able to map out a plan to get to 6 figures with only 4-6 schools using her curriculum.
- Consistent Lead Generation. I am a mom to 5 boys and “I’m hungry” is something I hear frequently. Just like my boys are constantly stuffing their faces, you’re business is constantly hungry for leads. You need new leads coming in every single month!
- Get some help on your sales team. My first year, I hired an appointment setter. I was regularly generating leads. But I needed to have someone to help me call those leads. I didn’t have time to do the dials. I wanted to spend my time talking to qualified candidates who I could get on the phone and just close the deals. Hiring that first appointment setter was one of the BEST moves I ever made!
If you are serious about making 6 figures in the next 12 months, then I am serious about supporting you through that journey. Let’s jump on a 30 minute strategy session to see what holes you might have in your strategy and map out your game plan.
